Dusan Mihajlovic will not be relieved of his post September 04, 2001
At Monday night's meeting, the DOS presidency adopted basic rules of fair play and resolved that all coalition members are obliged to respect DOS presidency decisions and present potential complaints directly to the coalition leadership before speaking to the media. The DOS presidency asserted late Monday that the previous meeting never touched on the issue of personnel changes in the Serbian government. Concerning the row between the Vojvodina League of Social Democrats, Vojvodina Reformists and Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians on one side, and the Democratic Party of Serbia on the other, DOS leaders agreed that the parties should hold a meeting in Vojvodina in order to straighten out their problems. The meeting will be organized by Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians leader Jozef Kasa. None of the DOS leaders would make a statement for the press following the meeting, except for Serbian Justice Minister Vladan Batic who presented the above-mentioned conclusions. He said there were no complaints about the Serbian Justice Ministry's work, adding that the first two resolutions were adopted unanimously. "League of Vojvodina Social Democrats head Nenad Canak and Vojvodina Reformists leader Mile Isakov voted against the meeting in Vojvodina", Batic added. Batic said that Democratic Party of Serbia vice president Dragan Marsicanin abstained from the vote on the basic rules of fair play.
