Djindjic meets with British industrialists
September 04, 2001

BELGRADE, September 3 (Tanjug) - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic and Minister of International Economic Relations Goran Pitic in their talk with Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Director General Digby Jones agreed in Belgrade on Monday that the representation of British capital on the local market was inadequate.

It was also agreed that the Serbian market should open itself to British products, investments, and joint cooperation, the Press Service of the Serbian government said.

British businessmen showed interest in the ways of privatization in Serbia and implementation of the law on privatization of property, which are conditions for further economic cooperation between the two countries.
