Individuals mentined by Gavrilovic operated legally September 03, 2001
Based on a police investigation into Gavrilovic's claims, the prosecutor concluded there were no grounds for criminal charges against any individual or state body mentioned during discussions in the Federation Palace. The statement says that the legal persons Gavrilovic mentioned in the Yugoslav President's Cabinet were made public according to legal regulations and that they did not get any illegal material benefits. The District Prosecutor's Office reminds that Gavrilovic left no document in President Kostunica's Cabinet, neither did he mention any name from the Serbian government or any other official who is connected with organised crime. The Prosecutor's Office concluded that the there were no grounds for criminal charges after an investigation had been carried out in NIS "Jugopetrol", the Federal Customs Office, Serbian Highway Administration, the firm for construction of roads "Beograd" and the firm "Difens." Investigation in NIS "Jugopetrol" showed that this enterprise rented out two petrol stations to "Komotko" firm, according to the contracts signed on December 25, and December 29, 2000. The monthly rental fee was YUD90,000 for each petrol station, the Prosecutor's Office stated. At the same time, "Difens" imported several specialized machines for construction of roads over the freight forwarding firm "Mil-Sped" and paid the customs fee in accordance with the Law on foreign trade and Act on temporary import of goods. According to the contract of "Difens" with "Beograd" firm for construction of roads one of the machines is engaged on the Ibar road - between Orlovac cemetery and Rusanj. The statement says that the Serbian Highway Administration approved finalizing of that contract and established the price of works.
