Families of missing Serbs postpone protest rallies
August 31, 2001

Laplje Selo, August 31 (Beta) - Families of missing Serbs from Kosovo decided on Friday to postpone protest rallies against international missions' passive attitude towards the destiny of their loved ones until mid-September.

Members of the Association of Families of Kidnapped and Missing Serbs made the decision to postpone protest rallies until September 15 following a meeting with Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and head of the Coordinating Center for Kosovo and Metohija Nebojsa Covic in Gracanica.

Covic told Association members that UNMIK and the Serbian government had set up a joint commission for uncovering the fate of some 1,300 kidnapped Serbs and other non-Albanians.
