Belgrade, August 30 - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic met a delegation from the Republic of Slovakia headed by Slovakian Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda in the Serbian government building on Thursday, August 30.

"Slovakia has experienced both the good and bad sides of transition and our delegation is to visit Slovakia in order to learn about the country's privatization process, its banking sector, the mistakes Slovakia has made and which we may avoid", Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic said after the meeting.

The meeting also focused on economic cooperation, especially in the fields of civil engineering and electric power.

According to the Serbian Prime Minister, the relationship between the Slovak national minority in Yugoslavia and the Serbian government is "a model of a national minority's loyalty and a country's honest and open wish to meet that minority's needs".

The Slovakian Prime Minister voiced hope that the reforms in Serbia would be carried out as smoothly as possible.
