BAYER Leverkusen (GERMANY) - RED STAR Belgrade (YUGOSLAVIA) 3-0 (HT: 2-0). First leg: 0-0. Bayer won 3-0 on aggregate. German team goes to Champions' League, Red Star will continue in UEFA Cup. Scorers: Oliver Neuville (13, 60) and Ulf Kirsten (60). Attendance: 22,000. Referee: Mesina (Italy).

Leverkusen forward Oliver Neuville scored twice as his side knocked out former champions of Europe Red Star from Belgrade.

First-half goals from Bayer 04 Leverkusen forwards Oliver Neuville and Ulf Kirsten put paid to the chances of Yugoslavia's champions. Neuville added another goal on the hour and the 3-0 victory on the night for the German side meant they advanced by the same score on aggregate.
