The story of the last Six Serb elderly women in Djakovica
August 17, 2001

Poleksija Kastratovic - Poljka (65)
Dear friends,

We have made a report in pictures and words on the fate of the last six Serb elderly women in Djakovica who have been living in a little house in the courtyard of the Serbian Orthodox parish church of St. Nicolas in complete isolation for the last two years.

Since our public is barely informed on this example of courage and faith, we think that it is important to spread the truth about these brave Christians.

We kindly ask you to do your utmost in order to acquaint as many people as possible with the fate of these old women, particularly mother Polyka, thus making most significant contribution to their honest and just struggle to remain in their country in these difficult and confusing times.

Illustrated report can be found on our web page:

English version of the report is available on the following web page:

Warm regards from Visoki Decani Monastery
hieromonk Sava
