Belgrade, August 8 - The Serbian Justice and Local Self-Government Minister Vladan Batic, on behalf of the Serbian government, sent to the UN war crimes tribunal additional guarantees as to Biljana Plavsic's bail request, says the statement from the Ministry.

The guarantees ensure security for Mrs. Plavsic during her stay in Serbia and provide for her answering any summons for the continuation of the trial or to appear as witness. Batic repeated his willingness to offer the Serbian government's guarantees in person at the time of deciding on the release request.
