Restored cooperation between Serbia and Bavaria

Belgrade, July 11 - A permanent Commission for cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Bavaria is meeting in Munich on Wednesday, July 11 for the first time after ten years.

President of the Serbian part of the commission, Yugoslav Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandra Joksimovic, and her associates - Serbian deputy and assistant ministers, will hold talks with President of the Bavarian part of the commission, Bavarian State Office's International Cooperation Department official Dr Hans Mayer, and his associates.

The commission is to sign a protocol on cooperation and a working programme on Thursday, July 12. The working programme includes the issues in the fields of agriculture, forestry, transport and transport infrastructure, environmental protection, public health services, labour and social security, education, science and research work, judiciary, city and public utilities administration.

Before leaving for Munich, President of the Serbian part of the commission Aleksandra Joksimovic said that the restoration of cooperation with Bavaria represented a step towards Serbia's integration in Europe.
