The Hague, July 4 (Beta) - Belgrade lawyer Zdenko Tomanovic told the press in The Hague on Wednesday that he believed former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic would not appoint a lawyer to argue his case before the ICTY.

Asked by the press to comment on their presence in The Hague, lawyers Zdenko Tomanovic and Dragan Krgovic replied: " Because of technical details".

"Milosevic appointed me his lawyer, but I will not represent him before the ICTY because he does not recognize the tribunal", Tomanovic stressed.

Tomanovic would not answer whether he had advised Milosevic to appoint a lawyer and put active defense before the tribunal. "As a lawyer, I can only discuss the legal position and all the possibilities with my client, but the client makes his own decisions", Tomanovic said. Tomanovic and Krgovic underlined that they would visit Milosevic every day until Saturday.
