Jugovic denies Yugoslavia quit reports April 11, 2001
The former Sampdoria, Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Lazio player said on Tuesday: "There has been a misunderstanding. My comments has been mistranslated and I will be available to play against Russia on April 25 - if they want me. "I said that I didn't want to comment on suggestions that Djoric (Yugoslavia's coach) wants use younger players. But I didn't say that I wouldn't play. "Djoric was in Milan and told me that I am needed for the team against Russia on April 25. We had a nice conversation. I didn't say no to anything and I will play if they want me to." Yugoslavia lie fourth in their World Cup qualifying group, behind Russia, Switzerland and Slovenia.
