Exhibition "Jewelry and golden needlework of Kosovo" in Moscow
March 29, 2001

Moscow, March 28 (Tanjug) - Today, the exhibition under the name of "Jewelry and golden needlework of Kosovo and Metohija", at which visitors have the opportunity to see more than 300 exhibits of Pristina Museum (former Museum of Kosovo and Metohija) has been opened in Moscow.

Opening the exhibition, director of the Museum Branko Jokic stressed that due to the tragic events in Kosovo, protection of cultural values and historical monuments in the province has become practically impossible today. However, Pristina Museum managed to preserve significant part of its archeological and ethnographical collection.

The exhibition, at which one part of the collection had been displayed, was held in the premises of Moscow city association archives and would be opened until April 14.

The display of the exhibition in Moscow represents its first presentation, after which it, as it was planned, would go on a tour of the whole world.
