Agreed return of Yugoslav Army to buffer zone, ethnic Albanians signed a ceasefire agreement March 13, 2001
Ethnic Albanian representatives have signed in Konculj, a village in Bujanovac municipality, today, the ceasefire agreement for southern Serbia. The agreement calls for an immediate ceasefire, and the side, which violates it, will suffer the consequences, the NATO Secretary-General's special envoy Peter Feith who attended the signing of the agreement, announced.
He recalled that, over the last few days, he had talked with ethnic Albanian representatives several times, and that the main stumbling block was NATO's latest decision to allow Yugoslav forces to enter the Ground Safety Zone along the border with Macedonia.
