Merdare, Bujanovac, March 12 (Tanjug) - The commander of the KFOR forces General Carlo Cabigiosu and the Yugoslav Army representative Lieutenant Colonel Ninoslav Krstic have signed in Merdare village, in the afternoon, the agreement on return of Yugoslav Army to the section of the Ground Safety Zone.

Ethnic Albanian representatives have signed in Konculj, a village in Bujanovac municipality, today, the ceasefire agreement for southern Serbia.

The agreement calls for an immediate ceasefire, and the side, which violates it, will suffer the consequences, the NATO Secretary-General's special envoy Peter Feith who attended the signing of the agreement, announced.

He recalled that, over the last few days, he had talked with ethnic Albanian representatives several times, and that the main stumbling block was NATO's latest decision to allow Yugoslav forces to enter the Ground Safety Zone along the border with Macedonia.
