Stolic takes gold
March 12, 2001



Craiova, ROMANIA, March 11 (agencies) - Yugoslav athletes won six medals at the 46th Balkan Cross Country Championship, which was held in Romanian city of Craiova.

Sonja Stolic won the only gold medal for Yugoslavia by winning the women's 4 km race in 12:47,35.

Dragoslav Prpa took bronze in the senior men 12 km race with 36:08,09.

As a national team, Yugoslavia won one silver (women's 4 km) and three bronze medals (senior men, men's 8 km race and junior women).
