			Obilic surprise league leaders Partizan in local derby February 24, 2001 Belgrade, February 23 (Reuters) - Obilic Belgrade beat local rivals and Yugoslav League leaders Partizan 3-1 on Friday to dent their title hopes as the championship resumed after a two-month break. Partizan still lead the standings on goal difference from Red Star Belgrade, but the champions now have a game in hand and a chance to go top on Saturday. The result also kept alive third-placed Obilic's own challenge, narrowing the gap to six points behind the leaders. Partizan dominated proceedings in the early stages but fell two goals behind after Obilic's keeper Igor Dimitrijevic had denied them with a string of superb saves. Midfielder Bojan Filipovic broke the deadlock in the 27th minute with a dazzling solo run and captain Darko Vargec added the second ten minutes later as Partizan's defence failed to clear a corner. Skipper Sasa Ilic pulled one back for the visitors in the 56th minute when he slotted home from close range but Sasa Zimonjic sealed the game ten minutes before the end after racing clear of his markers. Dragan Vujacic could have added a fourth for Obilic in the dying seconds but hit the woodwork instead of an empty net from six yards out.
