London, November 2 (Tanjug) - British Government has used high-ranking army officers for dirty political affairs in Kosovo and Metohija and during the NATO aggression on Yugoslavia, British media assess today.

It is stressed that British ministers have demanded that high-ranking officers speak untruths and defend the governmental policy in public which is not allowed in Britain.

Air force marshal Ser John Day confirmed this to the deputies in the Parliament last night. Addressing the members of the Defense Committee he admitted that the Government had ordered him to talk to The Sunday Times journalists and defend Prime Minister Tony Blair's policy pursued in the aggression on Yugoslavia.

He admitted he told untruths one of which was that prime Minister Blair has almost made the decision on the ground invasion of Kosovo and Metohija", which according to The Daily Telegraph journalist is not true.

Member of the Defense Committee, the Liberal-Democratic Party deputy Mick Hancock stated that the issue here was an unprecedented politicizing of armed forces.
