Rakocevic stays in Yugoslavia
October 24, 2000

Podgorica, October 23rd - Igor Rakocevic has signed a three-year contract with the Yugoslav champion BC "Buducnost". The young Yugoslav national team player will be able to play for his new club already on Wednesday, in the EuroLaegue second round match against German OPEL Skyliners and on the next weekend in the national championship.

Rakocevic has, after this summer's draft, signed a contract with Minnesota Timberwolves. The management of this NBA club has decided to allow the Yugoslav player to play several more seasons in Europe. Although he was one step away from signing the contract with the Italian PAF, Rakocevic decided to stay in Yugoslavia.
