Bronze for Gajovic and Sjekloca

Tampere, Finland May 19th - After the nine drought years, Yugoslavian boxing succeeded to reach medals at the European Championship. At the European Championship which is organizing in Tampere in Finland, members of Yugoslav national team Milorad Gajovic (81kg) and Nikola Sjekloca (71), won bronze medals, after they were beaten by Russian boxers.

Sjekloca was beaten by Andrey Mishin with 6-3, while Gajovic gave strong resistance to one of the best Russian boxer Alexander Lebziak and was very close to the finals. At the result of 6-6, 15 seconds before the end of final, the forth round, experienced Lebzjak took advantage of Yugoslavia boxer's carelessness and succeeded to reach winners point.
