PROLOM BANJA
Prolom Banja is a spa in the central part of Serbia, near Kursumlija and
about 320 km from Belgrade. Its altitudes varies from 550 and 650 m.a.s.l.,
and it stands between the Sokolovica and Radan mountains. Because of the
pleasant local sub-Alpine climate, it is also an attractive climatic resort.
The Prolom Banja springs yield a rare variety of mineral water, the
akratothermal water whose temperature is 27 degrees C . It contains free
hydrogen sulphide, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine,
sulphates and nitrates. The facilities at the spa also include an indoor
therapeutical swimming pool.
MEDICAL INDICATIONS: The spa is recommended for the treatment of:
gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, inflammation of the gall bladder,
gall stones, inflammation of the kidney and the urinary tract, inflammation
of the prostate gland, various kinds of eczema, lighter forms of
psychoneurosis, inflammation of the arteries and veins.
