BANJA KOVILJACA

Koviljaca Banja Koviljaca is a spa in the western part of Serbia, 137 km from Belgrade. The spa lies off the trunk road from Belgrade to Sarajevo. The large park and a favourable climate are conducive to successful treatment, rest and recreation. Banja Koviljaca has a number of springs of sulphuric and ironbearing thermal mineral waters ranging from 21 degrees to 38 degrees C in temperature. The patients drink and bathe in these waters, which are also used for the preparation of mud packs. Four baths and two pools and tubs are available for such purposes. There are specially equipped rooms for inhalation and mud pack application.

MEDICAL INDICATIONS: The spa is recommended for such treatment of chronic inflammatory and degenerative rheumatism, discopathy, effects of bone, joint and muscle injury, damage to peripheral nerves, i.e. 'neurovegetative dystonia'. Medical services are provided by physicians of the Institute of Discopathy.
