IVANJICA
Ivanjica is a climatic resort in the south-western part of Serbia. It
lies on the banks of the river Moravica, at an altitude of 470 metres a.s.l.
It is surrounded by the wooded Mucanj, Javor and Golija mountains. It is 42
km off the Cacak- Uzice trunk road, and about 180 km from Belgrade.
Ivanjica is noted for its unpolluted air and a pleasant climate with cool
summers and snowy winters. Climatotherapy and drug therapy have proved
efficacious against anemia, leukemia, leukopenia, malignant lymphoma,
thrombocytopenia and physical exhaustion.
ACCOMMODATION: Hotels (180), the Golija rest centre (200) and the
Institute for the Prevention of Blood Diseases, Treatment and Rehabilitation
(260). These buildings between them contain two indoor swimming pools, a
recreation hall and sports grounds.
